Music

Adult Choir / Men's Choir

All adults who have the gift of music and enjoy singing are welcome. Adult Choir practices are on Monday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Male Choir practice on Thursdays 7:00 – 8:00p.m., in the choir loft. During the summer the choir does not meet.

Praise Team

Our 11:00 Sunday service is graced with the music of our Praise Team. Practices are on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m.

Grace Notes Handbell Choir

We have been given life through God’s grace. Our motto theme is – Ps 145:5-7 “They (the bells) will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I (the bells) will proclaim Your great deeds. They will celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of Your righteousness.” It is our prayer that our music embellishes our services.

Church Administration and Fellowship Groups

First Lutheran Church is governed by several boards. They meet monthly to address issues, concerns, and opportunities to assist our church with advancing the Gospel both within and without our congregation. Included are:

  • Fellowship Board
  • Stewardship Board
  • Public Relations Board

First Lutheran Church also emphasizes the important of fellowship and getting together to advance God’s Kingdom on earth and develop those relationships so vital to the life of a congregation.

The Lutheran Women's Missionary League

The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions. The mission of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. The LWML ladies at First Lutheran Church meet at the church on the second Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm to plan service projects, Bible study and fellowship. They would love to have you join them in serving the Lord with gladness!  LWML.org

Circles

There are currently three active ladies circles at First Lutheran Church. The Altar Circle, the Mary Martha Circle, and the Youth and Cradle Roll Circle.  Each circle plays a significant role in the life and service of the church. Monthly meetings/Bible studies generally occur on the fourth Tuesday of the month unless otherwise scheduled.
